Yayesh Gete clinches second gold medal for Ethiopia at Paris Paralympics

Addis Ababa, September 2, 2024 (FBC) – At the 17th Paralympic Games in Paris, Ethiopia’s Yayesh Gete secured the second gold medal for her country after her commanding victory in the 1,500m women’s blind race (T-11) final

She clocked a personal best 4:27.68, improving her own time by four seconds.

Recall that Ethiopia’s first gold medal at the Paris Paralympic Games 2024 was secured by Tigist Gezahagn in the women’s 1500m T13 final.
