World Bank pledges support to help Ethiopia succeed in Industrial Parks development
Addis Ababa, November 12, 2020 (FBC) – World Bank has pledged continued support to help Ethiopia successfulness of Ethiopia’s endeavors to make the industrial development.
CEO of Ethiopian Industrial Parks Development Corporation, Sandokan Debebe discussed with Director of the East African Regional Director of the World Bank Ousman Edione on ways of further strengthening the long standing partnership with Ethiopia and the group.
The two exchanged view on challenges in the Industrical Development sector including power outage, shortage of housing and liquid waste treatment facilities, among others.
Sandocan and the Regional Director also discussed on ways of addressing bottlenecks in promoting the Ethiopian Industrial Parks Development Corportaion at global platform.
Appreciating WB’s involvement in supporting Ethiopia’s development activities at all sector, Sandokan called up on the regional director to play his part in supporting country’s efforts in the industrial development area.
According to Office of Industrial Parks Development Corporation, forwarded recommendation to the corporation to clearly identify priority areas of the problems and expressed interest to extend support in a way to address challenges accordingly.
Out of the industrial parks being developed in the nation, the construction of Bole Lemmi Phase two and Kilinto Pharmaceuticals Industrial Park are underway with financial support secured from the Wrold Bank.
