World Bank allocates 64.3 million USD for emergency drought response in Somali Region
Addis Ababa, February 18, 2022 (FBC) – The World Bank has allocated 64.3 million USD for emergency drought response in Somali Region.
Chief Administrator of the Somali Region, Mustafa Omer received a delegation led by World Bank Country Director for Ethiopia, Eritrea, Sudan and South Sudan, Ousmane Dinone at his office where the two discussed ways of responding to the drought situation in the region.
On the occasion, the World Bank Regional Country Director also announced the 64.3 million support of which 38 million has immediately been made available.
Mustafa expressed gratitude to the World Bank for the allocation on the fund which is needed to address the drought situation in the region.
