WHO first batch of medicines, medical supplies arrive in Mekelle
Addis Ababa, February 11, 2022 (FBC) – The World Health Organization (WHOP has dispatched first batch – 10 metric tonnes – of the 33.5 metric tonnes of medicines, medical supplies, and equipment to Tigray today.
The shipment arrived in Mekelle, Tigray aboard two UNHAS flights. Subsequent shipments will be airlifted over the next few days, the Organization announced.
WHO, with the Health Cluster, is airlifting 33.5 metric tonnes of critically needed medicines, medical supplies and equipment into Tigray in shipments of 10 metric tonnes per day, starting Friday this week.
