WFP airlifts lifesaving supplies into Mekelle

Addis Ababa, November 30, 2015 (FBC) – The UN World Food Organization (WFP) has airlifted lifesaving supplies arranged by its Logistics Cluster into Mekelle, Tigray.

The supplies included vaccines provided by the UNICEF Ethiopia and nutritional food to treat malnourished mothers and children in the region.

Meanwhile, WFP announced delivery of 54 trucks of food aid to communities in need in North West of Afar Region.
