WB pledges continued support to Addis Ababa Water, Sewerage Authority

Addis Ababa, January 27, 2020 (FBC) -Global Director for the World Bank Group’s Water Global Practice, Jennifer Sara today visited the Kaliti wastewater treatment plant.

The facility was built with a loan secured from the World Bank and can treat 100,000 cubic meters of waste water per day.

During the visit, General Manager of the Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority, Engineer Zerihun Abate, briefed her on current activities of the authority and areas where attention will be given in the future.

Jennifer Sara for her part assured the authority of the World Bank Group’s continued support, including in capacity building and other related areas.
