Wang Yi, Shoigu to discuss issues affecting states’ strategic security interests- Beijing
BEIJING, November 11 (RIA Novosti) – Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will discuss with Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu issues affecting strategic security interests of the two countries at a meeting in Beijing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said on Monday.
The Russian Security Council Secretary said earlier in the day that Shoigu will pay a working visit to China and meet with the leadership.
“Wang Yi and Shoigu, who is invited to China, will hold the next annual consultations on strategic security on November 12 to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state during their meetings throughout the year, and conduct an in-depth exchange of views and coordination of positions on bilateral relations and major issues affecting the strategic security interests of the two countries to strengthen mutual trust,” Lin told reporters.
