Upper House to approve appointment of new ministers tomorrow
Addis Ababa, January 23, 2023 (FBC) – The FDRE House of Peoples’ Representatives is expected to review and approve the appointment of ministers tomorrow.
The 6th House of Peoples’ Representatives will hold its 2nd year 9th regular meeting tomorrow.
The Parliament, in its meeting, is expected to review and approve its 2nd year 8th regular meeting minute, the appointment of ministers, refer the bill proposed to approve the loan agreement between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and UNDP for the implementation of the second phase of the Sustainable Land Management Project to the relevant standing committee
The Upper House indicated that the parliament is also expected to be review and refer a bill to amend the Excise Tax Act and a bill proposed to approve the extradition agreement made between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Government of the Republic of Turkiye to the relevant standing committee.
Furthermore, the HPR’s deliberation is also expected to review and refer a bill proposed to approve the extradition agreement made between the government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the government of the United Arab Emirates, the regulation of the Federal Courts staff, and the regulation of the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation staff to the relevant standing committee.
