UNFPA reiterates continued support to Afar region
Addis Ababa, June 23, 2023 (FBC) – The chief administrator of Afar regional state Awol Arba met and held a discussion with Koffi Kouame, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Resident Representative to Ethiopia.
During the discussion, the two dignitaries advised on ways that UNFPA can continue to strengthen its support for the Afar region.
It is indicated that the UN agency has strengthened its support in a bid to boost the reproductive and maternal health system in the region.
Koffi Kouame pledged that the United Nations Population Fund will scale up its support to the Afar region.
For his part, the chief administrator of Afar regional state Awol Arba thanked UNFPA for the multifaceted support it has provided to the region so far.
