UK: TPLF seizure of fuel from WFP warehouse unacceptable

Addis Ababa, August 27, 2022 (FBC) – UK Minister for Africa, Latin America and Caribbean, Vicky Ford condemned TPLF’s seizure of fuel from WFP’s warehouse in Mekelle, Tigray as unacceptable.

She said the theft carried out by the TPLF group will harm the humanitarian response in the region.

She called on all parties to ensure aid reaches the people in northern Ethiopia in desperate need – including by immediately restoring the humanitarian truce.
