UK stands ready to champion Ethiopia’s place in global rules-based trading system: Minister  

Addis Ababa, June 20, 2023 (FBC) – Eyob Tekalign, State Minister of Finance, met in his office with Nigel Huddleston, Minister of International Trade of the United Kingdom.

During the meeting the state minister expressed the partnership between the two countries and briefed him about the drafted new home-grown economic reform.

Minister Huddleston appreciates the recent deal with cessation of hostilities and expressed the UK government’s commitment to boosting investment and trade relations between the two countries.

He said in his social media post that UK and Ethiopia Reinforced the UK’s support for Ethiopia’s development and economic reform to Ethiopia’s Ministry of Finance.

“By launching DCTS and supporting companies wanting to invest, we stand ready to champion Ethiopia’s place in the global, rules-based trading system, UK’s Minister of International Trade, Nigel Huddleston said in his social media post.

It is to be recall that UK delegation led by the Minister of State at the Department for Business and Trade Nigel Huddleston has visited the Bole Lemi Industrial Park yesterday.
