UK keen on working in cooperation with Ethiopia in Trade, Investment

Addis Ababa, June 20, 2023 (FBC) – Ambassador Mesganu Arga, State Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia met with UK Minister for International Trade, Nigel Huddleston, today at his office to discuss up-scaling bilateral trade relations.

During the meeting Ambassador Mesganu highlighted Ethiopia’s long-standing, bilateral relations and talked about ways of further expanding the ties.

He also explained the economic reforms being undertaken by the Government to create a conducive environment for trade and investment.

In addition, he expressed his profound gratitude to the UK Prime Minister for sending a trade envoy to Ethiopia and expressed Ethiopia’s readiness to cooperate with the UK.

Minister Huddleston on his part emphasized UK’s keenness to work with Ethiopia and expressed gratitude for the country’s growing economy and recent economic reforms by the Ethiopian Government.
