UK keen on supporting efforts to enhancing health services in Ethiopia 

Addis Ababa February 24, 2023 (FBC) – Ministry of Health Dr. Lia Tadesse has met with UK’s ambassador to Ethiopia Darren Welch, and the two discussed ways of enhancing health care services in the country.

“We discussed UK support to Ethiopia’s health sector through FCDO which has been tremendous throughout the years in building health systems, PHC, RMNCH, emergency response & more through financial & technical support”, Dr. Lia posted on Twitter.

 “The UK is working with the Government of Ethiopia and partners to tackle important health issues in the country, ” UK’s ambassador to Ethiopia Darren Welch posted on twitter.

He added that the two sides discussed a joint ambition to strengthen vital health services in Ethiopia, including the UK aid funded GlobalFund which aims to eradicate TB, Malaria and HIV.
