UK expresses intention to work in cooperation with Ethiopia in the field of defense
Addis Ababa, December 13, 2023 (FBC) – The United Kingdom expressed its keen intention to cooperate with Ethiopia in the defense sector.
According to Colonel Mark Bavan, the United Kingdom’s military attaché in Ethiopia, his country is interested in working with Ethiopia in military capacity building and in various related fields of cooperation.
The United Kingdom military attaché shared his thoughts while visiting the Blate Commando and Airborne Training Center, the FDRE Ministry of Defense Forces social media post indicates.
Commander of the Blate Commando and Airborne Training Center, Colonel Boja Aga briefed his guests about the current endeavors of the Center and the training process within.
He said that working in cooperation with countries that want to work together on defense will help to destroy terrorists and share valuable experiences.
A suitable infrastructure is being built to provide integrated training at the training center, the Commander added.
Colonel Mark Bavan, for his part, revealed that the airborne, special forces and counter-terrorism trainings being delivered at the Blate Commando & Airborne Training Center are sophisticated and mission-oriented.
He explained that having a modern training infrastructure is helpful in capacitating cadets effectively and efficiently.
