UAE provides humanitarian aid to landslide victims in Gofa Zone

Addis Ababa, July 27, 2024 (FBC) – The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has stepped forward to offer humanitarian assistance to those affected by the recent landslide in the Geze Gofa district of Gofa Zone, located in South Ethiopia Regional State.

During a press briefing, Selamawit Kassa, State Minister for Government Communication Service, stated that leaders of several nations have expressed their condolences to the Ethiopian government and its citizens in light of the tragic incident.

In a gesture of support, the UAE has dispatched 85 tons of food and non-food items to aid the victims of the landslide, as announced by Selamawit.
