U.S. Special Envoy Mike Hammer meets with AU-MVCM team in Mekelle

Addis Ababa, June 7, 2023 (FBC) – U.S. Special Envoy to the Horn of Africa, Hammer and chargés d’affaires of the American Embassy, Ambassador Jacobson met with the African Union’s Monitoring, Verification, and Compliance Mechanism team in Mekele and with General Radina in Addis Ababa.

The United States welcomes the extension of the AU-MVCM’s mandate until December as a key component of working toward a sustainable peace, the U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa said.
