Two Cargo Vessels Collide Off Greece’s Cephalonia – Reports
MOSCOW, September 6 (Sputnik) – Two cargo vessels collided northwest of the Greek island of Cephalonia, with one of them catching fire, Greek radio Skai reported on Wednesday, citing fire department spokesman Yannis Artopios.
A Portuguese vessel carrying 11 crew members collided with a Maltese ship with 12 people on board, the spokesman said.
No injuries were reported. However, the collision caused a fire on the Portuguese vessel, the media said, adding that the blaze was believed to be small.
Ships and coast guards were sent to the scene.
