Turkey reiterates commitment to peace and stability in Ethiopia 

Addis Ababa, February 17, 2022 (FBC) – Republic of Turkey welcomes the decision of the Ethiopian Parliament approving the lifting of the state of emergency in Ethiopia as a right step towards achieving peace and stability in the country.

‘We welcome the decision of the Ethiopian Parliament yesterday approving the lifting of state of emergency in Ethiopia, which has been declared last November. We consider this decision as a right step towards achieving peace and stability in the country.’ said the Turkish Government in a press release.

“Turkey has been enjoying deep-rooted ties with all parties in Ethiopia, and will continue to support all efforts towards achieving the social peace and stability that Ethiopia deserves,” the press release says.
