Trudeau Appoints Steven MacKinnon as Canada’s New Labor, Seniors Minister

WASHINGTON, July 19 (Sputnik) – Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has appointed Steven MacKinnon as the country’s new Minister of Labor and Minister of Seniors, Trudeau’s office said in a statement on Friday.

“The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today announced a change to the Ministry: Steven MacKinnon becomes Minister of Labor and Seniors,” the statement said.

MacKinnon previously acted as leader of the government in the House of Commons and will assume his duties as of today.
