Transport Ministry launches Road Network Information Software

Addis Ababa, January 29, 2021 (FBC) – Ministry of Transport has today launched technologically backed road network information software that would help monitor traffic flow.

Addressing a discussion platform held in line with the the launch of the software, Minister of Transport Ministry Dagmawit Moges said the technology part of the activities being undertaken to modernize the sector.

Participants of the discussion reviewed the activities being carried out by the ministry to transform the sector and discussed ways how to collect information through the newly introduced technology and properly utilize the software for intended purpose.

It is stated on the occasion that the new road network information software will have significance in line with providing researchers other information seekers with accurate information in addition to ensuring smooth traffic flow.
