Trade, Industry State Minister meets with of Dubai Chamber Int’l Office Director

Addis Ababa, March 24, 2021 (FBC) – State Minister of Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ambassador Misganu Arega has received and held talks with Director of International Office of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Omar Abdulaziz Khan on trade agreement with UAE.

Ambassador Misganu said that the Dubai discussion explored ways to further strengthen cooperation between Ethiopia and UAE in trade and export sectors.

The two discussed ways how to improve Ethiopia’s Export volume to Dubai, Utilize the platforms like DMCC for coffee and Business forums during Expo 2020 Dubai.

State Minister added that joint discussions are vital to mobilize international participants (Buyers/investors) on the Business forums to be organized by our side during Expo 2020 Dubai.

They also agreed to organize sessions on specific areas like export of fruits and vegetables, and to reinforce trade relationship and exchange knowledge in packaging, maintenance of quality and promotional activities.
