TPLF’s attempts to delude int’l community with false propaganda unacceptable: Government

Addis Ababa, May 22, 2022 (FBC) – In a statement, the Government Communication Service said the terrorist TPLF is trying to divert attention of the international community laiming it released POWs.

Purported release of POWs is one of the manifestations of how the TPLF is peddling false stories to cover up the invasion, atrocities and plot to dismantle the nation after losing the support it had garnered with false propaganda.

TPLF is attempting to portray civilians it abducted during its invasion of several parts of the Amhara and Afar regions as POWs after dressing them up with military uniforms. The outlaw group is pretending to be a peace lover in doing so, the statement indicates.

According to the statement, the are also in the alleged POWs daily laborers who were kidnapped by the terrorist group while working in Tigray region.

There are also members of the terrorist Shene Group and other allied forces recruited by the TPLF for purpose of infiltration in the false POWs. Such a drama corroborates the fact that TPLF is preparing to open another war on the nation, it is indicated.

The government further called upon the public not to be swayed by the false propaganda of the TPLF.
