TPLF-inflicted misery, suffering of Tigrayans pains all Ethiopians – MP

Addis Ababa, September 15, 2022 (FBC) – The misery imposed by the terrorist TPLF on the people of Tigray region is also a pain to every Ethiopian, said Ustaz Kamil Shemsu, member of the House of Peoples’ Representatives of Ethiopia.

Ustaz Kamil said that the suffering and nightmare that the terrorist TPLF inflicted on the people of Tigray region by diverting humanitarian aid for war is hurting all Ethiopians.

He explained to Al Jazeera Inside Story that if the problem in northern Ethiopia needs to be solved, the terrorist group must stop its belligerence and fully commit itself for a peaceful solution.

The Ethiopian government announced a unilateral ceasefire last year which allowed unfettered humanitarian aid in the region, but it didn’t last long due to the warmongering and instigative nature of the terrorist TPLF, he recalled.

He mentioned that the government formed the Main Peace Committee which consists of senior government officials and decided that the peace option can be implemented in any place and situation.

Ustaz Kamil explained that the Ethiopian government had repeatedly informed and showed the public and the international community of its readiness for the peaceful option.

Terrorist TPLF has been downplaying the government’s peaceful resolution proposals. The group came up with preconditions that threaten the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country. However, the Ethiopian government is still ready to implement the peace option, he stressed.
