TPLF forcing Tigrayan parents to offer a child in exchange for food: Hermela

Addis Ababa, August 29, 2022 (FBC) – TPLF has a habit of creating crisis to the people of Tigray by taking the aid from the international community and repurposing it for war, rejected the peace talk from the legitimate federal government, broke the truce and attacked ENDF once again, said Hermela Aregawi, Tigray-born independent journalist.

On TRT Wolrd, she recalled the atrocities committed by the notorious gang, TPLF, in the neighboring Amhara and Afar regions: raping, looting, mass murders and using more than 1000 WFP trucks to mobilize its forces. 

The journalist revealed that the terrorist group is forcing Tigrayan parents to offer at least one member of each family in exchange of the aid provided by the international community, redirecting it for war, and the Tigrayan are fleeing the region to the Amhara region to get refugee, where the Ethiopian government is taking care of IDPs. 

She mentioned that the Ethiopian government is always committed for peace talk without any setting conditions.

The international community is wrongly equating TPLF to the legitimate Ethiopian government because the terrorist group has built a propaganda and disinformation infrastructure while it was ruling the country for 27 years, she continued. 

Hermela further confirmed that the World Health Organization (WHO) Director General and the former member of TPLF Central Executive Committee, Tedros Adhanom, is abusing his power as a UN organization chief to speak for ethno-fascists’ militia–Terroist TPLF, not for the people of Tigray, she insisted.
