Tony Blair Institute praised for its support to Ethiopia’s Digital Transformation Drive

Addis Ababa, January 24, 2024 (FBC) – The Tony Blair Institute’s contribution to the success of Ethiopia’s digital transformation drive has been significant, State Minister for Innovation and Technology (MinT), Yishrun Alemayehu (PhD) said.

State Minister for MinT received Tony Blair Institute Ethiopia Director, Maleda Bisrat at his office where the two sides discussed ways of enhancing collaboration.

On the occasion, Yishrun reaffirmed Ethiopia’s commitment to work in collaboration with partners to achieve the goals in the National ICT and digital economic development sector and realize nation’s digital transformation.

The State Minister expressed his gratitude to Tony Blair Institute for its support in the implementation of the Ethiopian Digital Transformation Strategy, pledging government’s readiness to enhance its collaboration with the organization.

The support made by the institute in areas of electronic governance, data development, e-commerce and digital infrastructure.

The institute, for its part, reaffirmed its commitment to continue its support to Ethiopia in its efforts to achieve the digital transformation goals.
