Addis Ababa city inaugurates juvenile correctional center
Addis Ababa, September 20, 2022 (FBC) – Addis Ababa City Administration has opened juvenile rehabilitation and correctional center.
The center, built with 450 million Birr in the Capital, Lideta sub-city, is expected to receive and rehabilitate more than 700 juveniles between the ages of 9 and 15 who have been involved in various crimes.
The center is also intended to rehabilitate the youth from trauma and mental depressions they faced as a result of being detained with adults.
The center was inaugurated by the Mayor of Addis Ababa City Administration, Adanech Abebe, with the attendance of the City’s other senior officials and invited guests.
