Terrorist TPLF’s indiscriminate attacks inflict civilian casualties in Woldiya

Addis Ababa, August 10, 2021 (FBC) – Firing artillery indiscriminately towards some areas in the town of Woldiya, terrorist TPLF has inflicted heavy casualties on civilians, Amhara State Communication Affairs Office Director- General Gizachew Muluneh said.

The Office Director-General told EPA that the terrorist forces used to put the environs of town under indiscriminate artillery attacks on Sunday night at 4:00PM.

Heavy fighting was reported near Woldiya town, North Wollo Zone of Amhara State last Saturday.

As to Gizachew, several civilians have been wounded by the artillery attacks. On Sunday night, heavy artillery hit around the Sheikh Hussein Mohammed Ali Alamuddin Stadium in Woldiya town and public housing, but the exact number of casualties is not yet known.

Now, the main target of the state is thwarting the terrorist expansion despite TPLF has opened wars in three directions mainly in Bahir Dar, Hara and Meresa.
