Terrorist TPLF plundered products, inputs and destroyed factories in Kombolcha town

Addis Ababa, December 14, 2021 (FBC) – A team of journalists who visited Kombolcha town collected ample evidences showing that the terrorist TPLF group plundered large amount of products and inputs and destroyed machinery in factories located in the industrial town.

Journalists also confirmed that the terrorist group looted and vandalized the factories in the industrial town of Kombolcha during its aggression in the area.

Militants of the terrorist group removed machineries from factories and deprived many industries in the town of production.

According to local officials, 200 local and foreign companies have invested in the industrial town, Kombolcha in several manufacturing and production areas that created jobs for more than 8,000 people.

Now people who were working in the factories that have been vandalized by the criminal group have been exposed to desperate social and economic conditions, Industry and Investment Office Head of Kombolcha town, Abayneh Abebe said.

Abayneh told visiting journalists that the town administration is now conducting survey and investigation to find out the extent of the damage and complete destruction on the factories as part of preparation for restoration works.
