Team of international free health service volunteers arrives in Ethiopia
Addis Ababa, August 12, 2024 (FBC) – The first round of international summer free health service providers group has arrived in Ethiopia yesterday, the Ministry of Health stated.
When the team arrived at Bole International Airport, they were welcomed by senior officials of the Ministry of Health.
According to the Ministry, the group consists of 26 Indians providing free health services.
The team came to Ethiopia through collaborative efforts by the Rotary International Addis Ababa Club, Rotary International Chandigarh Club, and Ethiopian Airlines Group, according to the Ministry, the Ministry further disclosed.
It was further indicated that the group will provide more than 1,500 free surgical services at St. Paul’s Hospital, Millennium Medical College, Alert Hospital, and Tikur Anbessa Hospital.
It is known that the free health examination and treatment service, which is part of Ethiopia’s rainy season voluntary service, has been launched in all health facilities nationwide.
It has been mentioned that Ethiopians and citizens of different countries are coming to Ethiopia to provide free health services.
