Symposium on China-Africa Partnership held at Ethiopian Embassy in Beijing
Addis Ababa: January 20, 2014 (FBC) A symposium aimed at strengthening China-Africa partnership has been held at the Ethiopian Embassy in Beijing under the theme “Towards a Greener, more Prosperous and Healthier Future Together”.
The symposium was organized in collaboration with a team of African ambassadors to China and the Office of United Nations in Beijing.
The symposium, aimed at ensuring mutual benefit of Africa and China, focused on the implementation of some of the decisions made at the previous 8th FOCAC Ministerial Conference in Dakar, Senegal.
Ethiopian Ambassador to China, Teshome Toga chaired the discussion focused on the outcomes of the China-Africa Ministerial Conference.
During the one-day symposium, issues related to the China-Africa Cooperation Framework, environment, rural development, community health, Covid 19 pandemic prevention, finance and investment were discussed, according to a statement the Embassy sent to FBC.
The symposium was attended by ambassadors of African countries to China, UN officials based in Beijing, diplomats and officials from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
