Survivors recount horrific details of Raya Kobo massacre by terrorist TPLF
Addis Ababa, September 23, 2021 (FBC) – Witnesses and relatives of victims of the Raya Kobo massacre testified that the terrorist TPLF massacred innocent civilians including mothers and new born infants in the town and the environs on September 9, 2021.
Survivors contacted by FBC said the outlaw TPLF forces were committing the brutal massacre the whole day.
One of the survivors, Kassaw Amare told FBC that forces of the terrorist group had amputated his right hand mercilessly.
Kassaw said the terrorist group forces decimated poor peasants while tilling their agricultural lands. He testified that he had seen more than 50 bodies of the victims thrown to the ground.
Another survivor Belay Iyasu also told FBC journalists that TPLF repeated the Mai Kadra massacre by killing sixteen daily laborers who came to the area to seek labor works on September 9, 2021.
The other survivor who received a sniper blow at his face, Mengesha Ali witnessed that the Junta forces were killing civilians door to door for consecutive days. He said he had looked at bodies of fifteen victims including his close friends and neighbors.
Survivors who are currently receiving treatments at Dessie Hospitl shared harrowing accounts of the slaughter of civilians to the FBC journalists. They said the renegade group forces also killed animals including horses used to pull carriages.
