State of Emergency Inquiry Board urged to intensify monitoring, controlling task
Addis Ababa, August 23, 2023 (FBC) – Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples Representatives of Ethiopia, Lomi Bedo, urged the State of Emergency Inquiry Board urged to intensify its monitoring and controlling task.
The Inquiry Board tabled the report of the activities it has conducted since it went operational last week in the presence of the Deputy Speaker of the House and the Government Whip, Tesfaye Beljige. The Board has also presented the draft plan of its future activities.
Lomi Bedo appreciated the Inquiry Board for independently discharging its duties despite the challenges it is facing, calling for enhanced monitoring and controlling works, according to the Communication Office of the House.
The Government Whip, for his part, affirmed house’s support to the board so that it can continue its activities in an independent manner.
The draft plan of the board has also been approved after members garnered various corrective comments forwarded by house members.
