State Begins Conducting Malaria Prevention Program
Addis Ababa, October 27, 2021 (FBC) – Gambela State begins mass mobilization program so as to prevent the seasonal strike of malaria.
Following major rains in Ethiopia, mosquitoes are now able to breed in numbers and spread the disease; so cleaning and drying swampy dwelling areas is required.
That is it what Gambella has started now doing, mobilizing the public in its seasonal malaria prevention program.
The Health Bureau Head of the State Ruot Gatwich tells the press in Gambella that malaria is a priority health concern across the region.
He has also advised people to sustainably use mosquito-nets during their sleep, apart from keeping dwellings and their environs clean.
The head has also disclosed that collaborative efforts are being made with partners, including Federal Health Ministry, aiming to control malaria.
