star-rated hotels meeting COVID 19 safety protocols accredited

Addis Ababa, April 23, 2021 (FBC) – Ministry of Culture and Tourism has accredited star-rated hotels in Sidama Region that met COVID 19 safety protocols.

It is to be recalled that the Culture and Tourism Ministry has put in place COVID 19 control and prevention standards to mitigate impact of the pandemic in the hospitality industry.

Based on the criteria set, the Ministry has carried out thorough follow up and monitoring and certified 21 star-rated hotels which fully performed COVID 19 control and prevention precautions.

Tourist Service Efficiency Standardization, Certification and Labeling Division Director, Mintamir Bayew along with other officials have presided over the certification ceremony.

Ethiopia has recently got World Safe Travel Stamp from the World Travel and Tourism Council.
