Stakeholders gather to consult provision of gender-responsive resources

Addis Ababa, August 3, 2023 (FBC) – UN Women Ethiopia collaboration with Ministry of Women and Social Affairs is organizing a consultative meeting with financial institutions, private companies and Civil Society Organizations.

The consultative meeting aims on providing gender-responsive financial and non-financial resources with the objective of strengthening collaborative efforts and partnerships of financial institutions with CSOs and NGOs for advancing women’s access to financial and non-financial services.

The workshop has brought together 50 participants representing government organizations, financial institutions, the private sector and CSOs.

Panel discussion on providing gender responsive financial and non-financial services and collaborative efforts of financial institutions with SOs and NGOs for supporting women in businesses was conducted involving representatives from financial institutions.

Presentation on Risk fund mobilization initiatives in supporting women in business, and good practices and challenges in accessing finance by role model women in business were also delivered.
