St. George face CAF CL holders Al Ahly in preliminary round 2

Addis Ababa;, September 24, 2023 (FBC) – Saint George Football Club will play their first match of the 2023/24 CAF Champions League second preliminary round qualifiers against 11-time winners and the reigning champions Al Ahly of Egypt today.

The match between the two clubs will take place at 8:00 PM at the Cairo International Stadium, which can accommodate 75,000 spectators.

Al Ahly is the current holders of CAF Champions League title

It is to be remembered that Saint George have beaten Zanzibar’s KMKM FC 5-2 on aggregate in the first preliminary round of qualifying.

If St. George, also known as The Knights, beat Al Ahly on aggregate, they will book their place in the group stages of the 2023/24 CAF Champions League.
