Speaker of Federation Council of Russia Valentina Matvienko to visit Ethiopia soon

Addis Ababa, May 28, 2024 (FBC) – Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matvienko, has announced a plant to visit Ethiopia soon.

Valentina Matvienko stated that during her visit she will engage in discussions with senior officials including the Speaker of the House of Federation of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Agegnehu Teshager in all areas of mutual interest for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.

Matvienko noted that Russia and Ethiopia have “long-standing and multifaceted relations.” Adding, “I am convinced that we have every opportunity to strengthen cooperation between the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the House of Federation of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.”
