Spain says ready to propel bilateral ties with Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, November 20, 2023 (FBC) – Industry Minister Melaku Alebel held discussion with Ambassador of Spain to Ethiopia, Manuel Salazar, on bilateral issues of mutual concern.

Melaku briefed the Spanish Ambassador on economic growth, investment potentials and opportunities and the incentives put in place by the government to create enabling climate for foreign direct investments.

He also invited Spanish businesses to participate in the manufacturing industry sector of Ethiopia.

Ambassador Manuel Salazar, for his part, affirmed the commitment of his country to play his part in attracting European investors to the Ethiopian market.

Spain attaches great importance to its relationship with Africa, the Ambassador said, reiterating his government’s readiness to propel its bilateral relationship with Ethiopia.

The two sides further agreed to organize joint platform that would help promote investment potential of Ethiopia to Spanish investors.
