South Korea reaffirms readiness to cement trade, investment ties with Ethiopia
Addis Ababa, July 18, 2022 (FBC) – Speaker of Ethiopia’s Upper House Agegnehu Teshager has received South Korean Ambassador to Ethiopia Kang Seokhee at his office.
The Speaker recounted that Ethiopia sent more than 6000 soldiers to South Korea in 1951 to safeguard peace and sovereignty of the country, citing the phenomenon as a testimony for longstanding and historical relations between the two countries.
Agegnehu said the Ethiopia and South Korea have been partnering in fields of education and training, investment and other social development sectors.
Ambassador Kang, for his part, noted that the two countries have been enjoying close relationship in multifaceted areas cooperation, reaffirming the commitment of South Korea to cement the ties in trade, investment and other areas partnership.
