Some int’l media, agencies echoing baseless accusations of the terrorist TPLF

Addis Ababa, September 02, 2022 (FBC) – In an interview with SABC, Muktar Kedir Abdu, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to South Africa, discussed how the TPLF reignited the conflict by rejecting peace efforts made under the aegis of the African Union.

The Ambassador cited the Ethiopian people’s interest in peace as justification for the Ethiopian government’s unwavering dedication to peace, peace negotiations, and collaboration under the direction of the African Union.

TPLF has launched a full scale attack and invation in neighbouring Amhara and Afar Regions, is currently killing civilians, looting and destroying properties, he said, adding that the government is defending the sovereignty of the nation.

The Ethiopian Defense Force is known for its professionalism and outstanding performances in peacekeeping missions. Airstrikes carried by the Ethiopian Air Force are targeting only military facilities of the terrorist TPLF, not civilians.

Regarding the recent accusation by the TPLF on alleged bombing of a kindergarten, Ambassador Muktar said that schools are at annual vacation and they are closed at this moment.
