Somalia’s Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation arrives in Addis Ababa
Addis Ababa, January 9, 2023 (FBC) – Delegation of the Federal Republic of Somalia led by the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Fardowsa Osman Egalhas, arrived in Addis Ababa for an official working visit.
The FDRE Minister of Transport and Logistics, Dagmawit Moges, accorded a warm welcome to the Somali delegation as it touched down on Sunday at the Bole International Airport, Addis Ababa.
According to the Ministry of Transport and Logistics-Ethiopia (MoTL), during their stay in Ethiopia, the delegation will advise on the strengthening of bilateral cooperation between Ethiopia and Somalia in the field of civil aviation.
Following her meeting with the Somali delegation, Dagmawit said she was delighted “to welcome Fardowsa Osman Egalhas, Minister of Transport & Civil Aviation of the Federal Democratic Republic of Somalia on her visit to Ethiopia.”
She stated that she is “looking forward for fruitful discussion to enhance the bilateral collaboration in the aviation sector.”
After meeting with her Ethiopian counterpart, Fardowsa Osman Egalhas, on her part, indicated on twitter that the delegation arrived in Addis Ababa “to complete aviation agreement between Somalia and Ethiopia.”
“[I am] grateful to Ms Dagmawit Moges, Minister of MoTL and other officials for their warm welcome. [We are] looking forward to successful collaboration to benefit both countries”, she added.
