Somalia reaffirms commitment to enhance its strategic partnership with Ethiopia
Addis Ababa, January 4, 2022 (FBC) – President Hassan Sheik Mahmud reaffirmed the commitment of Republic of Somalia to enhance strategic partnership with Ethiopia.
The president made the pledge when he received letter of resignation from the outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ethiopia to the Republic of Somalia Abdulfetah Abdulahi.
On the occasion, President Hassan Sheik Mahmud stated that Ethiopia is a strategic partner for Somalia, pledging to transform the ties between the two countries in bilateral and multilateral areas of cooperation.
The President of who expressed gratitude to Ethiopia for its support in the ongoing anti-terrorist operation appreciated its role in ensuring peace and stability of the region.
Ambassador Abdulfatah Abdullahi Hassan thanked the President for the support given to him during his tenure.
