Somali region senior leadership meet with UN officials

Addis Ababa, January 26, 2023 (FBC) – The Somali region senior officials met with UN delegation led by the UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Ethiopia and the Special Adviser to the UN Secretary General on Solutions to Internal Displacement.

The region’s senior officials, including Hussein Hashi, the head of the office of the regional president, met with Robert Piper, the Special Adviser to the UN Secretary General on Solutions to Internal Displacement, and Catherine Sozi, the UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Ethiopia.

The Region’s government communication bureau statement indicates that the delegation is expected to discuss with the Somali region president and other senior officials of the region regarding humanitarian aid provision in the area.
