Somali Chief Administrator briefs UN Regional Humanitarian Coordinator on drought situation in the region

Addis Ababa, January 31, 2022 (FBC) – Chief Administrator of the Somali Regional State, Mustafa Omer has briefed the UN Regional Humanitarian Coordinator for East Africa, Daniel Endries on the drought situation in Somali region.

Mustafa stated that he and the UN humanitarian coordinator have agreed on the immediate need for scaling up ongoing response activities and the importance of timely response as the needs are huge.

The Somali Region has established a coordinating committee working with various stakeholders to scale up humanitarian response in the region.
