Social networking development endeavors key to maintain Ethiopia’s digital sovereignty: INSA
Addis Ababa, November 12, 2021 (FBC) – Director General of the Information Network Security Agency (INSA), Shumete Gizaw (PhD) said that technological sovereignty is becoming a crucial agenda among the international community.
He said Ethiopia has prioritized development of social networking infrastructure development as part of the efforts to maintain the digital sovereignty of the country, he said.
Enhancing cybersecurity of Ethiopia is inextricably linked with defending its sovereignty, Shumete said, adding that concerted efforts are well underway to reinforcing the sector.
Ethiopia shall preserve its digital sovereignty as it has preserved its sovereignty for thousands of years, Shumete noted, adding that the country will soon roll out its own social media platforms soon.
