SNNP council begins 11th regular session

Addis Ababa, August 7, 2020 (FBC) – The SNNP regional state council this morning began its 11th regular session in the city of Hawassa.

In its three-day meeting, the council is expected to put directions after deliberating on different agendas.

On the occasion, Helen Debebe, Speaker of the council, extended a congratulatory remark on the completion of first filling of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD).

She further called on all citizens to fight against those forces operating to derail the reform and strengthen efforts to combat the spread of COVID-19.

Deputy Chief Administrator of the regional state, Ristu Yirdaw, is currently, presenting annual performance reports of the regions to the council.
