Six ICRC trucks arrive in Mekelle to deliver food, additional medical supplies

Addis Ababa, November 21, 2022 (FBC) – The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) confirmed that its six trucks with food and medical supplies have rolled into Mekelle city, Tigray region.

Six of ICRC’s trucks arrived in Mekelle on Sunday night with food and additional medical supplies to address the humanitarian needs in the conflict affected areas.

ICRC recalled that last week, ICRC Ethiopia and the Ethiopian Red Cross Society teams in Tigray region distributed urgently needed medical supplies to nine health facilities in and around Mekele city.

It is also to be remembered that ICRC has delivered humanitarian supplies on November 19 in Shire city and its surrounding areas through the Gondar corridor on air and by road.
