Singapore keen to scale up economic, political ties with Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, February 7, 2024 (FBC) – Singapore expressed its intention to augment economic and political cooperation with Ethiopia.

This story was disclosed in a discussion today between Ambassador Mesganu Arga, State Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia and Singaporean Ambassador to Ethiopia, A Selverajah.

During their meeting, the State Minister and the Singaporean ambassador discussed bilateral and multilateral issues of mutual concern.

Ambassador Mesganu appreciated Singapore’s decision to open a diplomatic mission in Addis Ababa and highlited the various investment opportunities in Ethiopia.

For his part, Ambassador A. Selverajah signaled Singapore’s interest to scale up economic and political cooperation between the two countries.
