Senior officials of Russian Novgorod region express interest to collaborate with IPDC
Addis Ababa, March 21, 2024 (FBC) – Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC) CEO, Aklilu Tadesse had a discussion with a delegation led by the first deputy governor and administrator of Russia’s Novgorod region, Bogdanov Evgenii, in the presence of Russian Ambassador to Ethiopia Evgeni Terehin.
During the discussion, Aklilu explained to the delegation the investment-oriented activities that the corporation has been carrying out and is currently doing, and explained that there is a strong desire as a country to strengthen the long-term relationship between Ethiopia and Russia through investment.
The leader of the delegation, Bodganov Evgeny, expressed his delight on the warm reception he and his delegation received from the Ethiopian side expressed readiness to bring industries and manufacturers from Novgorod region to Ethiopia.
In addition to the discussion with IPDC CEO Aklilu, the delegation toured the entire operation of Kilinto Industrial Park along with Kamil Ibrahim, Deputy CEO of the operations sector of the corporation.
It is to be remembered that the corporation has agreed to work in coordination with the Russian Embassy in Ethiopia to use the investment potential of Russia in the industrial parks and Dire Dawa Free Trade zone that it manages, as well as for the manufacturers in the park to be able to use the vast market of Russia.
