Senior officers joining peacekeeping mission in South Sudan receive send off
Addis Ababa, March 28, 2024 (FBC) – Commissioner General of the Ethiopian Federal Police, Demelash Gebremichael has attended a send-off ceremony of senior officers departing for peacekeeping mission in South Sudan.
In his farewell message, Commissioner General Demelash, stated that Ethiopian police army is becoming desirable in international institutions for its discipline and military capabilities.
He urged the officers to demonstrate outstanding ethics and police expertise in commensurate with the level of excellence the Ethiopian Federal Police has reached during the mission.
He pointed out that operations requiring similar international participation would continue to be strengthened, and expressed good wishes for the peacekeepers to succeed in their mission.
Head of the Federal Police Peacekeeping Center, Commander Tegegn Agazh, for his part, leader of federal and regional police who were deployed to Sudan, South Sudan and the Abyei provinces, as well as Haiti, have effectively accomplished their mission and have built up a good image of their country and institutions.
